so finally finally after super long wait i recieved my box de lux. it is a beauty themed subscription box all in coming together to 18.95 pounds. i checked out their web page and looked at previous boxes and it seemed ok price for what they are offering in the boxes as most of the times there is full size products as well as new and unexpected items. in other words must have.
the box it self. i thought the box it self have really nice sturdy feel to it. kept very simplistic black with their logo on the top. which i think makes this box very reusable. it arived in another brown box. and they where using royal mail to post it. when i opened the box it did seemed like it have been a bit kicked around in the post office making the tissue paper to tear and things being upside down etc. but luckaly notting was riped or opened or anything like that. i was suprized that there is no leaflet about the products or anything so it seemed a bit strange but in same time less paper to get rid of later. trought the box they used shreded paper to keep things in place. all together there is 5 full size products.
1. felicitys chocolate. i recieved a small box of these chocolates. there is 8 in the pack and they are quite good sized. on the lable it says that they have the graphic print called sarah2 wich must say is quite nice and interesting and could make a good gift to someone, must say a leaflet would be handy now stating the prices of the items. from the top the chocolates look really nice but when taken out they do seem a bit rushed to make. do taste really nice. i personaly would have prefared dark chocolate but this makes a good change.
2. anatomicals, snog me senseless minty tingly lip balm. i never had a lip balm like this before. its quite tick lip balm which i always love about things like this cos it makes it easier to apply a good layer of it. when its put on lips at start you just feel like its a normal lip balm but in couple seconds it starts to give this minty feel. like the tingling that is talked about on the packageing. this made me thing of feeling i get after brushing my teeth with a really strong flavour tooth paste. only on my lips. its hard to explain but must say i love it. it smells really fresh and minty too but does not taste it haha. really looking forward to using this in my every day rutine.
3. heyland & whittle soap. this is like a set of 3 different kind of soaps. the 1st seem to have like a rose flavour the second is quite orangey and the last must say makes me think of like when i was little little like 2 3 my gran used to use these soap for washing clothes this is what it makes me think of, which is not the nicest smell. recently i been quite into using normal soap again rather than the shower gels as for pure fact my dad got me some from london and i been loving it since. these soap do give me this weird organic feel and makes me think that they are natural with no chemicals etc meaning it will work good with my dry skin.
4. sweets in the city candy in sherbert lemon flavour. mini cube. so obvious the first thing that i noticed is the masive sticker saying sugar free treats meaning the sweeties are full with sweeteners but they do taste really nice. a settle leamon flavour not that very strong sour taste that most people dont like. one thing i m not too keen on is the size of the sweets as it just seems that ur eating the thing for million years but a good thing if u wana slim down and keep your mouth bussy lol. over all quite a nice little treat. think be great to leave as a little present for someone.
5. marilou bio. organic hand cream. oh this cream seems like tottal heaven in a tube lol. when first put on it does seem bit on the oily side but is very very quickly absorbed and leaves instant soft feel to the hands. and it also smells reallly rally good. i do look forward to trying it out properly as all these kind of crams can only do good to mh dry skin. specially would like to find one that i dont need use it every minute of the day to do the job. so i must say this is what i was most exited about and it comes full size in 75ml tube. wich i think is good size fir hand cream.
over all i think this was a good box. i do sugest to try it. just like i said would have been good if there be a leavlet of any kind to say more about the products
February 2014 birchbox , uk edition. So in this months birch box we have a selection of 6 items . Must say box looks pretty empty this time . But here is what I got . First we have a bottle of shower gell by gilchrist & soames. I obsolutely love love the scent of it makes me think of shower gels I used have as little kid it wich instantly made me fall in love with it . You can buy full bottle for 13.75 . Next we have a little glass bottle that I was well exited about as I like little bottles . Its an oil for your hair by beauty protector. You can use this oil in dry or wet hair for that extra protection . I am looking forward to this as I loved the oils for hair that have got before in the beauty boxes so I’m hoping that this is as good as them. You can get full size for 16 pounds . Next there is exfoliating facial polish by urbanveda , I think all of the items in this box just smell like heaven making me want to try them all them in 1 go lol but my face always enjoys a good scrub to get that dry skin off specialy in the wintery winds and cold outside . And you can buy this for 8.99. Next we have eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner . I swatched it and oh I was impressed it dried super fast and the color is bold black and just brilliant . You can buy it for 12 pounds and I think this one is totaly worth the money well looking forward to trying this out . Next there is nail polish by leighton denny and I have been eyeing this up for a wile now cos I just feel exited by the weird little glittery black and white bits. Its so jazzy lol have it on over white nail polish and it looks well wicked and you can get this nail polish for 11 pounds. And last but nt least once again we have a small chocolate bar by green and blacks. I love their chocolate but its seem to be on repeat . Over all been a great box and am looking forward to using the products .
Welcome to the february 2014 glossybox. Uk eddition. So first of all I got email form glossybox few week ago saying about lots of people complaining about january box being unfullfilling so I think with this box they tried to make up for the january and actually made it pretty good :). Must say I love the actual box it has like little lips all over it well cute definitely be keeping the box for like storage or something . But let’s get in the box . First is set of 3 packs with shampoo , conditioner and mask bygiovanni eco chick cosmetics the chick ultra moist range. I’m always quite interested in trying out new products for my hair. I’m sure I have seen this product in shops somewhere so am quite looking forward to see how it is only thing for the sample size shampoo usualy is not enough to cover all my hair as despite having sides shaved I do have pretty long hair so a handfull of shampoo every time wash my hair where the little pack doesn’t really hold that much . You can buy full size bottles for 7.99 . Next there is sparkling body shimmer by nougat london. I have never been the sparkle person lol as you can imagine but I tried this it took really tiny bit on back my hand and it made all my arm up to my elbow shimmery and it actualy is really settle shimmer and oh ut just makes you smell so nice like cherries so after this I think I will be bit into shimmer lol . And you can buy full size bottle of this for 14 pounds which I think is well worth the money as you only need tiny tiny drop to cover large area of your skin. Next we have ciate london paint pot in color cocktail dress . I quite like this color cos it seems like realy nice pinky red color I think this be great for people who think that red is too bright for them cos this one is lots more settle but I do love this color It would work great as accent color for 1 or 2 nails. You can buy these for 9 pounds to me it seems bit much for a nail polish but u know why not . About these tho I have definitely got couple of these nail polishes befor in the glossybox wich seems quite repetitive but at least its a good product. Next we have nv chunky eye crayon in color sugarplum. Well its pink. I put it on and yeah I can pull it off but nt with my black that’s for sure so this is bit usless to me . But it does have really nice texture and I think it be a good handbag make up bag essential . You can buy this for 5 pounds. Next we have a prety know product by maybelline . Its big eyes mascara. I kind regret that bought a new mascara the other day because am quite exited by this one never seen a mascara that has 1 brush for top lashes and 1 for bottom lashes. Was not too keen on the top one but the bottom lash one made my lashes look supper long feel pretty impressed so definitely be going in my make up pile . Well sugested . You can buy these for 8.99 . And finaly last but nt least a bar of lindt lindor chocolate. as extra treat . Honestly I did feel well impressed by this months box as seemed be more to it and you can feel that its worth the money not like some of the other times. This kind makes me re think giving up glossybox as thought before .
glossybox december 2013 review
Once again another first impressions about this months birchbox. Let’s get straight in there . First we have body butter by laura mercier in ambre vanille scent. First of all I was well pleased that it came in vanilla scent as its always been 1 my favorite . But as any body buter its well oily . I’m never a fan of well oily . I tried it out on my hand and I put it on at morning time and now like 6 7 hours later I can still sniff the scent off my hand even with washing my hands and doing what ever trough the day plus the skin did feel bit softer but nt too crazy about it tho. You can get a full size one for 26 pounds . Ok next there is replenishing oat shampoo by weleda . Well ok it stinks my nose is just not accepting it lol . But its usualy a good start cos it allways seems to be the stuff that works the best. And I’m planing to try it out tonite too . You can get full size one for 8.95. This one is for dry and damaged hair so I hope it do some good for my dry ends . Next there is a highlighter pencil by chella. I’m usually nt a fan of like using anything but black on my face lol but I feel quite intrigued by the colors but I think I will try to embrace this one specially over my cheeks to cover up the redness that I always fight with . No harm in trying I guess . U can buy this pencil for 15.95. Next a black pencil by lila’lli . I really like this one plus I really needed new one . its quite soft but its really pigmented so it looks great for eyes and even as lip liner . You can get this in shops for 10 pounds . Next a little perfume sample by english laundary I can’t say this would be my kind perfume as am more of super sweet scents but I think this would be quite nice for like a night out or something along the lines as seem quite “heavy” you can buy it starting from 16 pounds .as my life style extra I got pukka herbs selection of 3 teas earl grey, elderberry and echinacea , three cinnamon teas. Never actualy seen this brand before but it be nice to try out some new. Teas specialy for making ice teas as am kind stuck with the cranberry and raspberry tea mix . And you can buy pukka teas for 2.29. Last we have a pencil sharpener that’s birchboxes own . Really needed one as I have like one with small and big sharpening bits . But the big part just makes the pencil zigzagy so a new one is a joy. Can buy this for 3 pounds. For past few months I’m def more impressed by the birchbox because its more variety of things that are nt the usual stuff in shops. Unlike the glossy box so I am considering droping glossy box and maybe trying something different . If you have any suggestions please be free to share 🙂
The new glossy box is here ! November 2013 . Quick note before review there was 3 vichy creams I gave 1 away to a friend . Ok let’s start with the vichy serum. Its pretty much a cream u put on your pretty face before you put your moisturising cream on just to give it that extra bit . I tried it out thought it was great I needed just tiny bit to cover the whole face and face instantly felt nicer to touch . in box you got 3 sample size packs with 3ml in each I thought it was pretty good specially when full size bottle costs 29.50 for 30ml. Next we have emite make up eye shadow in color nect (I think) its really light shiny color I would say its more for highlights than actually using as all over eye thing unless you are totally into the natural look. As as we all know I’m not . Plus I can’t really use. It as highlighter too as my face and over all skin is very pale so I dnt really highlight bits everything is colored over lol. I tried it out tho and it seemed so nice almost a creamy feel, very shimery. It came in full size and you can buy it online for 16.80. Next there is yves rocher france hand cream with cocoa and pistachio nut scent. It smells amazing . Absorbs nt so good tho it is towards the oily kind cream but as we know them ones are usually better for the super dry hands like mine. This 1 came is full size and costs 1.95 . Since started ordering the glossy box I noticed that the hand creams is like a must cos its almost every time there . Anyhow moving on. Next is elegant touch rapid dry for nails. Honestly since now I never before seen a nail drying think like this as usually it comes as normal bottle like another layer of the polish but this is a spray . Like magic haha . I just spraid it on my nails and must say I instantly noticed 1 thing I might not like and its oiliness like its there to work with around the nail too so I’m not to sure about it . And you can get this full size spray bottle for 3 pound . I guess for 3 pounds can’t really ask much more . Last but not least we have this beautiful dark blue nail polish by b. Its in 180 midnight and well blue is the main tone in my nail polish box so this was like yeah love it instantly. And you can buy it for 4.99. I usually dnt want pay that much for nail polishes so I always like finding the polishes in the beauty boxes. I do like this months box . Definitely look forward to using the nail polish and the serum and see how goes with rest .
Birchbox finally finally arived , took a wile this time but its here and looks pretty good :). So what’s there? First we have laura mercier foundation primer radiance I just tried it out a bit and when first opened the tube I was like damn that’s to dark as it has little tone to it but when tried it on my hand it tottaly blended in and you couldn’t even tell anything is there same it absorbed very quickly so am well exited actualy trying it under make up as still no find for good primer . This one full price is 28 pounds . But as u dnt need lots of it to cover whole face . Next is dr. Brandt microdermabrasion skin exfoliant and honestly this is the item I’m most exited about from this box as to deal with my dry face u ment massage it in and wash it off like 2 times a wEek. And once again it smells citrussy seems like all the expensive things are like lemon themed lol. And this one full size is 67 pounds wich is a bit much but no harm trying so who knows . It is a bit like a scrub thing too just hope it doesn’t burn my skin. Next. Kms california curl up wave foam mousse. Well this is totaly out of my alley. Lol I’m a paranoid straight hair girl no curls for me but it has realy nice fruity smell and quite thick texture to it so might be nice I will hav look out for 1 for straight hair. Full price 15 pound. Next the balm cosmetics stainiac lip and cheek tint. Once again I’m fooled by the color that shows when its in the bottle. As it looks pure deep red like yeah look at that red but no its like light pink color. When u put on. In my eyes its like why put it on if u can’t even see specialy on my red face lol. Quite tick texture . But not for me. Full price 10 pound. Next a bit dissapointment as this was in the previous birchbox its dr lipp nipple balm for lips. Basickly u can use it for everything and it works really nice but even this tiny tiny pot goes for ever so might be good investment . Full 11.50 . Next a lifestyle extra. Ultradex. Full size from 5.49. Basicky its for ur teeth to help keep the inbetween bits cleen etc . Never actualy tried these things so they bit funky looking as stick with more traditional things lol but do want try them despite the freaky look lol. And last but not least beauty extra. Egyptian magic. Full price 29 pounds. Its a multi purpuse cream. As u take tiny bit rub it in ur hands till it turns into oil and ur good to wipe it on anywhere u want. I decided take all 3 mini packs with me for when go scotland next week . Giving me more space in bag . :). As have birchbox for wile now and I think its lots lots lots better than glossy box as feel like I get more for the same money etc and the products seem more use to me .
So the glossy box finaly here in a really wet box as the poor post man had walk trough the rain to get to my door . But let’s see what’s there . First we have mememe cherubs blush cheek and lip tint . In bottle it looks like a red color but when aplied it is very very pink I do like the tints and like the ones how do u call nt lipsticks but the lip stains cos they stay on so so much better and feels lots softer on my lips and they dnt make the lips as dry ether as lipsticks. Despite me nt liking the pink tone as I always try cover all my pink tones on my face nt put them on I do like this product plus the price is pretty cheep too 5.50 for the 12 ml bottle and feels like this could last long time . Ok next is a perfume sample. And honestly I seen advert for these so many times and I love the add never got chance to actualy sniff it . Its katy perrys killer queen perfume and oh my god it smells like heaven its quite heavy sweet perfume . Just way I like it . And price I think is pretty good too its 29.50 for 50ml. Next is mono illuminating primer. I’m still kind trying find a primer that I like and that doesn’t feel heavy on my face because I never cover my whole face say with foundation and it just feels well heavy on so I’m kind looking forward to trying this I tried tiny bit on my hand it felt bit oily at start but it obsorbed super quickly . It has spf 15 too so always good thing specialy for sensetive skin like mine. It is a bit on high end of students price range in 24.95 for 50 ml . But u know if it works well then y not. Next. Premae. Multi vit smoothie serum. Never actualy seen one like this as u ment put it on before u put on a moisturising cream to like prep ur skin for it . Plus u can mix it with ur foundation and make it like a natural bb cream . Lol its like magic in one bottle plus it smells so so lemony I love this u need just tiny bit to cover all ur face . Well good . And it comes for 22.50 for 50 ml. And last is vita liberta latte illuminating skin finish. There is 3 pascks of this only thing is that its bronzer wich is kind nt the right path way for a ghost like face look lol. So I prob not gona be using them my self . Over all nt bad box quite good cream selection so some new things to try 🙂
